Wikipedia is good for you?


Wikipedia is a good resource because can help people to illustrate their writing, and likely it will be more overtly persuasive than wikipedia articles.

People can use wikipedia as a source.  However, it is necessary to verify or confirm information in multiple sources to be sure that your investigation is true.

Many teachers don’t like wikipedia because its articles are unreliable.  The information you find today could be modified tomorrow.  An article can has several versions.  Also, teachers are concern because wikipedia and encyclopedias are not usually good source to quote, paraphrase, or summarize when students are writing.

Wikipedia can be a good source or ideas, link to other text and search terms.  It is possible to use wikipedia articles to get an idea.  Also, as a gateway to other text to consult for your research, but it doesn’t replay the library.

Wikipedia is useful for remembering and understanding some tasks like:  reviewing, conversing, revising, and sharing.  In addition, wikipedia article’s interface has four tabs and you can learn from them.

To make a successful contribution, authors must review what other contributors have already published about the topic.  It is the same rule that you can apply on your articles, because contributors’ publications will help you to improve your paper. It is important that you include in your writing all the reviewed text with appropriate source material if somebody wants to verify.

Conversing is another practice for successful research bases writing because you should respond to the sources you used. It is possible that you engage in conversation with sources in research-based writing by quoting, paraphrasing and summarizing them; by indicating agreements or disagreements

Sharing your writing is part of your succeed. If others know your work, they can give you ideas and opinions that you can use in order to improve your writing process.

In conclusion, wikipedia is an excellent resource if you know how to use it.
